Another local. Another producing the grim as fuck wobbles. Dr Bloodnugget has sprung up out of no-where and has a massive selection of chest rattling, bowel loosening tracks up on his soundcloud. If its the filthier than thou style of dubstep you’re into, you should find a good few new favourites.

Doomtrooper is from my hometown. Quite a young lad, but has a wealth of production talent for making absolutely massive dance floor destroying tunes. Part of Dominant Species alongside producers Ill Bill Bachelor, Mr Boogie, Suspect, Skinzmann he already has quite a few well known DJ’s backing him. Check out his tune Tin Grin. Grim wobbles.

Wen is another local head. He also produces dubstep, but tends to go for that classic, early sound. Simple, sometimes melodic, yet always centred around a ten ton sub bass weight. I’ve known this guy for little over a year and every time he posts something new on his soundcloud, you’re guaranteed it will always be a true progression from his last piece of music. Again, the waffling will cease…

For some people, making the more chilled out ‘step is somewhat difficult. For this man, it seems second nature. J-One has a background in hiphop beats where the fine art of flipping samples is king and it shows in his more ‘step based productions. Being taken on a journey by music is a rarity these days with up and coming producers, as more and more tend to focus on packing on dancefloors instead of opening minds. However this man has it nailed. I won’t waffle anymore. Just sit back and enjoy the vibes.
