Two producers who have been on everyone’s tongue as of late, Killawatt and Thelem, prove why they’ve been so highly revered with their latest Black Box release. The A-side, “Kaba,” begins with an atmospheric intro before descending into a rolling, techy, tribal affair. As usual with Killawatt tunes, the percussion is on point and his drums are as crisp as ever. The flip, “Point Of No Return,” has been a staple of Youngsta’s Rinse FM show for months. Truly, this tune is minimal at its best. Pulsating bass kicks, eerie vocal samples, and entrancing percussion round out this 12” as Black Box continues to show why it is arguably the best label in dubstep at the moment.
